The Society for Humane Science debunks the widely held assumption that animal dissection is the best way to learn about anatomy and body systems, despite the availability of a wide array of non-animal teaching methods (e.g., virtual anatomy tools).

The Society for Humane Science is a Canadian non-profit organization working to promote better science without animals. Their mission is to build an ethical culture of science that respects animal life by promoting the reduction and replacement of animals in teaching, research, and testing.
