Hope Bohanec of United Poultry Concerns and The Humane Hoax explains which eggs are ethical to eat.

Hope has been involved in animal protection and environmental activism for 30 years and has published the book The Ultimate Betrayal: Is There Happy Meat? She is the Projects Manager for the national non-profit United Poultry Concerns (UPC) and the host of the Hope for the Animals Podcast - one of my favorites!

Over the last three decades, Hope has given countless presentations, written articles, and organized hundreds of events including UPC’s annual Conscious Eating Conference and the Sonoma County VegFest. And she's one of the key organizers of a collaborative effort of vegan activists, writers, and organizations who are working together to reveal the truth about “humane” animal agriculture.

They're hosting their 2nd annual online Chicken Webinar  Saturday May 29th . Expert speakers will share information about amazingly rich, complex lives of chickens, as well as the health risks of eating poultry and eggs, and the associated environment and pandemic risks. Registration for the Chicken Webinar is free and the videos will be available to watch afterwards at or You can find a Facebook Event for the Chicken Webinar here
