Dr. Shiri Raz discusses the “vegans’ trauma”, a unique form of trauma which many vegans who chose veganism for moral reasons cope with and suffer from. Published by All-Creatures.

Dr Shiri Raz is a researcher in the Interdisciplinary Studies Unit, Department of Hermeneutics and Cultural Studies, The Program for Psychoanalysis and Hermeneutics at Bar-Ilan University in Israel. Her research analyses the psychoanalytical and the linguistical aspects of different views of animal usage and the consumption of animal products. She is a therapist for couples and individuals, specializing in work with vegans and mixed couples (vegan and non-vegan).  She is an academic animal rights activist, resident lecturer for the educational program of "Vegan-Friendly" and "Animals Israel", professional counsellor of the "Keren-Or" sanctuary farm and the Israeli Freedom Farm project and public speaker.

All-Creatures is a non-profit dedicated to cruelty-free living through a vegan lifestyle according to Judeo-Christian ethics. Their website is filled with vegan resources relating to animal issues, including bible studies, how to stop cruelty in churches, blogs, quotes and poetry, and lots of great resources for animal rights activism as well.
